Health & safety
This page provides a summary of the legal responsibilities of the producer and those organisations including the Client who are providing locations or other facilities and resources which will be used in the production.
Impact Image has the appropriate experience to ensure that the commissioners' risks and liabilities are mitigated and that Risk Assessments are carried out for all productions. These, and Health and Safety assessments, are developed in collaboration with the client and that reports are submitted prior to the commencement of filming.
Under Health and Safety legislation the ultimate responsibility for health and safety rests with the employers involved and the organisations in control of premises and facilities. On a day-to-day basis it is the Producer who has overall responsibility for ensuring that appropriate standards of health and safety are achieved and maintained throughout the production process. In terms of corporate productions it is often the commissioner who has direct responsibility for locations and facilities/equipment being filmed.
So both the Producer and Commissioner have statutory responsibilities for the health, safety and welfare of everyone involved with or affected by the production activities.
